Imaging role and range choices
A 4096-pixel-wide monochrome stream at 42 fps sets MV-CT1MU0089/G apart in the compact USB group. The 8.9 MP Stacked BSI CMOS sensor has global shutter operation, 3.45 µm pixels and a 1-inch format. Exposure from 20 µs to 10 sec, together with Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes, covers timed inspection as well as slower acquisition.
The wide 4096 × 2160 frame is useful for elongated components, multiple features arranged across a conveyor, and edge-based checks that need more horizontal sampling than the 5 MP unit. USB 3.0 provides a direct Type-C path to the host and can supply power. The 29 mm × 29 mm × 30 mm body and IP67 rating support compact, sealed integration.
MV-CT1MU0050/G is faster at 80 fps but records 2448 × 2048 on a smaller 2/3-inch sensor. MV-CT1MU0120/G retains the 4096-pixel width, adds 3000-pixel height and runs at 31 fps. MV-CT1MG0089/G offers the same 4096 × 2160 monochrome format over GigE at 32.5 fps in a 42 mm-long body.

FAQ
Which lenses are suggested for the 1-inch MV-CT1MU0089/G sensor?
MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP are suggested. Each uses C-mount and provides coverage for the 1-inch sensor; the respective 12 MP and 25 MP resolution classes are above the approximately 8.9 MP camera image.
Can image transfer and power share the Type-C cable on this unit?
Yes. The power entry supports USB 3.0 power supply, so the Type-C path can handle both functions. For installations using machine power and discrete I/O, the M8 A-Code connector accepts 9–24 V DC and carries three signal lines.
What host link is needed for 4096 × 2160 at 42 fps?
The 42 fps maximum applies at 4096 × 2160 in Mono 8 over USB 3.0. The camera is compatible with USB 2.0 as well, but that is a lower-bandwidth link; stream settings must therefore be chosen for the actual host connection.
What shutter and timing features support wide moving-part inspection?
A global shutter exposes the 4096 × 2160 frame together. Exposure ranges from 20 µs to 10 sec, and Off, Once or Continuous control can be combined with Trigger Width or Trigger Controlled timing for synchronization.
How far can the monochrome image be binned or decimated?
Both functions support 1 × 1, 2 × 2 and 4 × 4. The camera can also reverse output horizontally and vertically, and it offers Mono 8, Mono 10, Mono 10Packed, Mono 12 and Mono 12Packed formats.
