Twelve-megapixel colour positioning

Near-square 12 MP colour acquisition with global exposure is the defining capability of MV-CT2CG0120/G. Its 1.1-inch Stacked BSI CMOS sensor records 4096 × 3000 Bayer GB 8 at 23.9 fps with lossless compression enabled. A 3.45 µm pixel pitch, C-mount and Gigabit Ethernet link support detailed machine-vision imaging in the 42 mm CT2 body.

Use it where a broad component or array of features must be inspected in colour within one frame, including indexed assembly checks and dimensional work on moving parts. UltraShort exposure begins at 10 µs, and global shutter timing can follow Trigger Width or Trigger Controlled inputs. PoE simplifies the data and power path, with separate control and discrete I/O connectors retained.

MV-CT2CG0089/G reduces image height to 2160 pixels and raises speed to 32.5 fps. MV-CT2CG0120/R offers 4096 × 3024 on a smaller 1/1.56-inch sensor, but changes to rolling shutter and 18.4 fps. MV-CT2CU0120/G keeps global-shutter 4096 × 3000 colour while using USB 3.0 to reach 31 fps; /16LC/WN adds an integrated 16 mm lens and white light.

Selection and applications

Large-area colour feature inspection. Global-shutter assembly measurement. Twelve-megapixel PoE acquisition.

Minimum kit: MV-CT2CG0120/G, a 1.1-inch C-mount lens, an 8-pin M12 X-Code GigE cable, and a PoE source or 9–24 V DC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-CT2CG0089/G — Prefer it for 32.5 fps when 4096 × 2160 is sufficient.; MV-CT2CG0120/R — Prefer it for 4096 × 3024 rolling-shutter colour on a 1/1.56-inch sensor.; MV-CT2CU0120/G — Prefer it for global 4096 × 3000 capture over USB 3.0 at 31 fps..

FAQ

Which C-mount lenses are matched to this 1.1-inch colour sensor?

MVL-KF3524M-25MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP are matched choices. Each has a 19.3 mm image circle that covers the 1.1-inch sensor, and each is rated in the 25 MP class above the approximately 12.3 MP camera image.

What are the supply options for the 12 MP GigE CT2 camera?

PoE is supported over the 8-pin M12 X-Code Gigabit Ethernet connection. The M8 A-Code connector accepts 9–24 V DC as an alternative and carries the discrete I/O. Typical camera consumption is 2.0 W at 24 V DC under the stated conditions.

How is 23.9 fps achieved at 4096 × 3000 colour resolution?

The 23.9 fps point uses Bayer GB 8 with lossless compression enabled at the full 4096 × 3000 image size. Transport is 1000 Mbit/s Gigabit Ethernet, and the interface can also operate with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet.

Which short-exposure modes are available for moving assemblies?

UltraShort mode covers 10–19 µs and standard mode spans 20 µs to 10 sec. The sensor uses a global shutter, and exposure can be controlled through Off, Once, Continuous, Trigger Width or Trigger Controlled operation.

How does /16LC/WN differ from the base MV-CT2CG0120/G?

The sensor, 4096 × 3000 resolution and 23.9 fps rate are shared. The base camera is 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm with a selectable C-mount lens, while /16LC/WN is 77 mm × 77 mm × 123.8 mm and includes a 16 mm liquid lens and white light.
