High-resolution USB colour use

Near-square colour coverage at 4096 × 3000 and 31 fps distinguishes MV-CT2CU0120/G. Its 1.1-inch Stacked BSI CMOS sensor uses 3.45 µm pixels and a global shutter, producing 12 MP Bayer GB 8 frames through USB 3.0. The C-mount optical interface and 42 mm CT2 housing support the large sensor format.

This camera fits broad assembly verification, colour inspection of dense feature arrays and measurement of moving components that require both image height and global exposure. Timing ranges from 20 µs to 10 sec and includes Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes. Type-C can combine the image link with power, while the M8 A-Code connection provides discrete I/O for machine signals.

MV-CT2CU0089/G shortens the image to 4096 × 2160 and increases speed to 42 fps on a 1-inch sensor. MV-CT2CG0120/G matches the 4096 × 3000 global-shutter colour format over GigE with PoE at 23.9 fps. MV-CT1MU0120/G also delivers 4096 × 3000 at 31 fps through USB, but records monochrome output in a smaller 29 mm body.

Selection and applications

Dense colour assembly verification. Global-shutter measurement of broad parts. Twelve-megapixel USB capture.

Minimum kit: MV-CT2CU0120/G, a 1.1-inch C-mount lens, a USB Type-C cable, and USB 3.0 power or a 9–24 V DC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-CT2CU0089/G — Prefer it for 42 fps when 4096 × 2160 coverage is sufficient.; MV-CT2CG0120/G — Prefer it for the same 4096 × 3000 format through GigE and PoE.; MV-CT1MU0120/G — Prefer it for monochrome 4096 × 3000 USB capture in a 29 mm body..

FAQ

What lens pair is suggested for the 1.1-inch colour USB camera?

MVL-KF3524M-25MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP are suggested. Each C-mount optic has a 19.3 mm image circle that covers the 1.1-inch sensor, and each has a 25 MP class above the approximately 12.3 MP image.

Which supply paths are available to MV-CT2CU0120/G?

The Type-C connection supports USB 3.0 power supply as well as data. A 9–24 V DC feed may instead use the M8 A-Code connector, which also exposes one opto-isolated input, one opto-isolated output and one bidirectional non-isolated I/O.

What full-frame performance does the USB 3.0 host receive?

The stated maximum is 31 fps at 4096 × 3000 in Bayer GB 8. The interface can also operate with USB 2.0, while the camera offers Bayer GB formats through 12Packed, YUV422 variants, RGB 8, BGR 8 and Mono 8.

Does the 12 MP colour sensor use global exposure for motion?

Yes. The Stacked BSI CMOS sensor has a global shutter and an exposure range of 20 µs to 10 sec. Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes join Off, Once and Continuous operation for synchronizing acquisition.

Can lower-resolution modes be configured in MV-CT2CU0120/G?

Binning and decimation each support 1 × 1, 2 × 2 and 4 × 4 settings. The camera can also reverse image output horizontally and vertically, allowing the 4096 × 3000 source to be adapted before host processing.
