Wide-frame capture and selection

A 4096 × 2160 monochrome frame and global exposure place MV-CT2MG0089/G at the 8.9 MP, wide-format point of the GigE range. The Stacked BSI CMOS sensor has a 1 in optical format, 3.45 × 3.45 µm pixels and a maximum rate of 32.5 fps in losslessly compressed Mono 8. UltraShort exposure covers 10 µs to 19 µs, followed by standard exposure from 20 µs to 10 sec.

The wide image suits inspection across elongated parts, multi-feature presence checks and dimensional work that benefits from 4096 horizontal samples. Global shutter operation and Trigger Width or Trigger Controlled exposure support moving targets at a defined machine position. The C-mount camera accepts PoE, uses sealed M12 and M8 connections, and carries IP67 protection for properly completed installations from –30 °C to 60 °C.

MV-CT2MG0050/G offers 2448 × 2048 at 59.2 fps when speed is more important than the wider frame. MV-CT2MG0120/G extends the vertical sampling to 4096 × 3000 but lowers the rate to 23.9 fps. MV-CT2MU0089/G preserves 4096 × 2160 while changing the link to USB 3.0 and increasing the maximum to 42 fps. MV-CT2MG0089/G fits networked systems that need PoE and the 8.9 MP format.

Selection and applications

Wide-format moving-part inspection. Multi-feature presence verification. Triggered 8.9 MP measurement.

Minimum kit: MV-CT2MG0089/G, a C-mount lens, a Gigabit Ethernet cable for the 8-pin M12 X-Code port, and PoE or a 9–24 V DC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-CT2MG0050/G — Choose 2448 × 2048 output for a higher 59.2 fps ceiling.; MV-CT2MG0120/G — Choose 4096 × 3000 output when 23.9 fps is sufficient.; MV-CT2MU0089/G — Choose USB 3.0 for the same 4096 × 2160 format at 42 fps..

FAQ

Which lenses are listed to cover the 1 in 8.9 MP sensor?

The listed C-mount options are MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP. Both image circles cover the 1 in sensor. Their optical resolution classes, 12 MP and 25 MP, exceed the camera's 4096 × 2160 sampling, while the focal lengths produce different scene coverage.

When is UltraShort exposure available on MV-CT2MG0089/G?

UltraShort mode covers exposures from 10 µs through 19 µs. Standard mode begins at 20 µs and extends to 10 sec. Combined with the global shutter, the shorter interval provides a defined setting for limiting motion displacement when illumination and scene reflectance permit it.

What network connector carries the 4096 × 2160 image stream?

The camera uses an 8-pin M12 X-Code connector for 1 Gbit/s Gigabit Ethernet and can also communicate over Fast Ethernet. The stated 32.5 fps rate is measured at full 4096 × 2160 resolution in Mono 8 with lossless compression enabled.

Can this high-resolution GigE model be powered using PoE?

Yes. MV-CT2MG0089/G supports PoE and a separate 9 V DC to 24 V DC input. Typical consumption is 1.9 W at 24 V DC under the stated condition. Power and discrete I/O are available through the 8-pin M8 A-Code connection when external power or machine signals are used.

Which on-camera image format controls are supported?

Binning and decimation are both available at 1 × 1, 2 × 2 and 4 × 4. Horizontal and vertical reverse output is supported, and the monochrome pixel choices include 8-bit, 10-bit and 12-bit forms with packed options. The maximum-rate reference uses Mono 8.
