Applications and optical variants
Global-shutter imaging at 2048 × 1536 places MV-CT2MG0032/G in the 3.2 MP portion of the CT family. Its monochrome Stacked BSI CMOS sensor uses 3.45 × 3.45 µm pixels on a 1/1.8 in format and reaches 77.5 fps in Mono 8 when lossless compression is active. Gigabit Ethernet supplies the data path, while high-sensitivity exposure can begin at 5 µs and extend to 10 sec.
This combination addresses moving-component inspection where 2048 × 1536 spatial sampling is needed alongside global exposure. Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes can align frames to a sensor or encoder event; 2 × 2 or 4 × 4 binning and decimation provide alternative image scales. The C-mount body supports PoE, has IP67 sealing when fully assembled, and works from –30 °C to 60 °C.
MV-CT2MU0032/G keeps the same resolution and global shutter but changes to USB 3.0 and raises the maximum rate to 104.8 fps. MV-CT2MG0050/G stays with Gigabit Ethernet, expanding to 2448 × 2048 at 59.2 fps. MV-CT2MG0032/G/16LC/WN retains the 3.2 MP, 77.5 fps imaging core but adds a 16 mm liquid lens and white illumination; choose the standard model when separate C-mount optics are required.

FAQ
What C-mount optics are suggested for MV-CT2MG0032/G?
MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP are the two suggested lenses. Their image circles cover the camera's 1/1.8 in sensor, and their 12 MP and 25 MP classes exceed the 2048 × 1536 camera format. The different focal lengths support different field-of-view and stand-off requirements.
Can data and power share the MV-CT2MG0032/G network cable?
PoE is supported, so power may travel with Gigabit Ethernet through the network installation. A separate 9 V DC to 24 V DC input is also supported. The data connector is an 8-pin M12 X-Code type, and typical camera consumption is 1.6 W at 24 V DC under the stated condition.
How do the two sensitivity settings affect available exposure?
In high full well capacity operation, exposure runs from 30 µs to 10 sec and gain from 0 dB to 12.8 dB. High-sensitivity operation extends the minimum exposure to 5 µs and the gain range to 24 dB. Both settings retain the global-shutter sensor architecture.
Which acquisition modes can reduce the 2048 × 1536 image?
Binning and decimation each support 1 × 1, 2 × 2 and 4 × 4 factors. The camera can also reverse its output horizontally or vertically. These options let the acquisition format be changed at the camera while the native sensor remains 2048 × 1536.
How does the standard model differ from the /16LC/WN version?
Both versions use the same 2048 × 1536 global-shutter sensor and reach 77.5 fps. MV-CT2MG0032/G has a standard C-mount in a 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm body. MV-CT2MG0032/G/16LC/WN incorporates a 16 mm liquid lens and white light in a 77 mm × 77 mm × 123.8 mm assembly.
