Colour imaging role and neighbours

A 3.2 MP colour image, global shutter and industrial GigE connectivity form the core of MV-CT2CG0032/G. Its 1/1.8-inch Stacked BSI CMOS sensor records 2048 × 1536 Bayer GR 8 at 77.5 fps with lossless compression enabled. The 3.45 µm pixel pitch and C-mount support detailed inspection without moving into the larger sensor formats.

It is suited to colour verification, labelled-part checks and geometric inspection on moving assemblies. High Sensitivity mode reaches 5 µs, while Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled modes coordinate capture with external motion. The 42 mm body provides separate M12 X-Code data, M12 A-Code control and M8 power and I/O connections; PoE can remove the separate supply run.

MV-CT2CG0020/G emphasizes throughput at 177.3 fps with a smaller 1624 × 1240 image. MV-CT2CG0050/G increases coverage to 2448 × 2048 but runs at 59.2 fps. MV-CT2CU0032/G keeps 2048 × 1536 and global colour capture, using USB 3.0 to reach 104.8 fps. The /16LC/WN version instead integrates a 16 mm liquid lens and white light.

Selection and applications

Colour verification on moving assemblies. Triggered label and orientation checks. General 3.2 MP GigE inspection.

Minimum kit: MV-CT2CG0032/G, a 1/1.8-inch C-mount lens, an 8-pin M12 X-Code GigE cable, and PoE or a 9–24 V DC supply.

Nearby in the range: MV-CT2CG0020/G — Prefer it for 177.3 fps at the lower 1624 × 1240 resolution.; MV-CT2CG0050/G — Prefer it for 2448 × 2048 colour coverage at 59.2 fps.; MV-CT2CU0032/G — Prefer it for the same resolution over USB 3.0 at 104.8 fps..

FAQ

What lens choices are listed for the standard MV-CT2CG0032/G body?

The standard C-mount version lists MVL-KF1628M-12MP and MVL-KF5024M-25MP. Both image circles cover the 1/1.8-inch sensor, and their resolution classes exceed the approximately 3.2 MP formed by 2048 × 1536 pixels.

How may this 3.2 MP CT2 receive power over the GigE installation?

PoE is supported through the Gigabit Ethernet link, or 9–24 V DC may be supplied on the M8 A-Code connector. Typical camera consumption is 1.7 W at 24 V DC with fast heat balance disabled and no external device controlled.

What does the published 77.5 fps operating point include?

It uses the full 2048 × 1536 frame in Bayer GR 8 with lossless compression enabled. The stream crosses a 1000 Mbit/s Ethernet interface on an 8-pin M12 X-Code connector, which can also operate with 100 Mbit/s Fast Ethernet.

Which exposure range is available for rapid global-shutter capture?

In High Sensitivity mode, exposure spans 5 µs to 10 sec; High Full Well Capacity mode spans 30 µs to 10 sec. Both operate with the global shutter, and the camera supports Trigger Width and Trigger Controlled exposure.

How does the standard camera differ from MV-CT2CG0032/G/16LC/WN?

Both capture 2048 × 1536 colour at 77.5 fps. The standard unit has a user-selectable C-mount lens and measures 42 mm × 42 mm × 43 mm; the /16LC/WN version is 77 mm × 77 mm × 123.8 mm with an integrated 16 mm liquid lens and white light.
